They are so tired of it. They have seen it for years and finally one kid had a phone on the football bus and all the boys were exposed to the Charlie Kirk shooting video within hours of it happening.
I think the majority of responsible parents and most public school educators would love to see phones removed from their schools, but unfortunately, many school boards are not brave enough to step into that conversation yet with definitive policies that support parents and teachers.
I just read the article you posted in the other comment, wow! I love how the school drew very clear lines in their policy using “if you choose to do this, here are your consequences.”
